Do you know what to do if your dog chokes?
Do you know how to be safe around dogs and cats? This hour long Pet First Aid class covers dog safety for kids and how to give pets first aid. Activity is appropriate for Daisy through Cadette troops. Participants learn and practice skills on stuffed animals and receive a fun patch for attending! Topics covered are: What is First Aid? Dog safety for kids How to read a dog/cats body language Scene safety Fractures Bleeding control with bandaging practice on stuffed animals Choking Heatstroke Poisoning Cost is $15 per girl with a 6 minimum to come to your meeting. With handouts, video segments and hands on practice we can help your troop cover the specific requirements for the First Aid Badge. Training takes about 1 hour to do Brownie, Junior and Cadette Troops and is $15 per girl with 6 minimum. (Cadette badge requirement not covered is #1. Learn to care for young children.)
